Twenty years of free, autonomous art — celebrated inside The Nave, in tribute to Marcin.
TAA – Temporary Autonomous Art turns empty buildings into exhibitions that are free, self-organised, and open to all: temporary autonomous zones in Hakim Bey’s sense, proof that art belongs to everyone. For the 20th anniversary, Joana collaborated with The Nave collective on three works: a recreation of the $hame mirror tunnel; a large mirror installation with projections cast from the eye of the Queen; and a cocoon installation built in homage to Marcin, a friend who helped construct the original piece and has since passed away.
